below are pictures of our buggy before the great race, starting in the pallet and the onto the scale for the judges to inspect.

below are some pics from our visit to Huntsville AL for the "NASA Great Moon Buggy Race" the venue is quite impressive and a real treat to walk around with so much cool history just staring you in the face. We have 100's of pics and this is just a small sample of what we saw.

Painting and finish work for the buggy

With the final hours counting down (6hrs) the buggy was given a full chassis upgrade with a new coat of paint including: Primer, Metallic Base Coat, and Clear here are some pictures for you all to enjoy as you can see the paint did not come out perfect and I was a can short and did the best I could with what I had.

some final pics before our trip south to compete at the Great Moon Buggy race, as you can see we will be arriving with a fresh paint job and graphics. We have made some great strides as a team and the refinements to our buggy, by adding better steering and a custom diff with frt disc brakes all pulled together with a custom paint job.

New parts and inspiration

to the world, below are the first of new parts we have been working on. You can see some of the process we have used to build these parts, we have an amazing team working on this project with a wide range of talents and abilities. A 1st for the team is to have a number of members who are sophmores and freshman who have limited access to the shops, they have added much value to the team to help get this project done on time.

Materials:

Below are some pics of the materials we used for our build:

The SHOP:

We thought it might be good to show some pics of the shop we use to build our Moon Buggy. As you can see no CNC machines, or Modern tech every part on our buggy is done by our team with manual machining tools, all the joints are braised or welded.

the Buggy continues

After going down to NASA last year and placing 3rd, we returned the next year with 3 students from the original team still in the dept who were seniors. The pictures below are from when we started to work on the buggy again. as you can see in the process we found some broken parts and started working on ways to make it better.
